This isn’t a thread to discuss Donald Trump, as much as it is to discuss a topic no less controversial: the period when the Trump thread dominated these forums, and the friendships we made along the way.

Re: The Trump Thread... Starting up a Discord server was a good idea, but it did take a lot of the remaining wind out of the sails of the forums.

I think that's fine, though I did like it when the Inauguration Day thread was more active. It was the last big thing going, and it was a mostly enjoyable discussion. It's almost impossible to follow that discussion in the same way via Discord, though I'd like to.

I was going to say that the Trump thread is still going strong. It's just called Discord now. I will likely remain a member of Discord but am going to make a concerted effort to use the forum more for the sort of content that fits it best.
