Monitor Screwed

Well, a monitor on my other computer is dead. Two of the pins on the monitor are broken off, and the monitor just stays black now. Anyone know where I can find a new end piece with the pins?

It's an old monitor, so the chord is hard wired right into the monitor, no male/female joint.

Yep,looks like I've got to do some wire splicing. Found a Male/Male chord for 16 bucks, so I've got two shots at it! Else, new monitor?

A new monitor might be good. By the sounds of it, it's pretty old, 'cause I've got one similar - an old, screwed RM jobbie. I know I need one, 'cause mine doesn't display more than 1024x.

Yeah, but you know what? This one, this one right here, this was my dream, my wish, and it didn't come true. So I'm takin' it back. I'm takin' 'em all back.

My moniter is starting to go fruity on me. Tints everything green now and then. A firm wack to its side fixes it though.

CRT monitors are getting really cheap these days. But I'd recommend LCD. I'll never go back to a CRT ever again unless I'm super poor and have to. But then when I'm not super poor I'll get rid of the CRT and get an LCD, and never go back ever again.

The monitor was working fine, and it doesn't have to be really good,it's mostly for document and web use... and not much gaming. I'ts not my computer, it's the family computer, and we don't have the money to really dish out for a new monitor unless we have to. So wasn't really my call :T

You can try replacing the pins with something else. We did that once on a monitor, but it wasn't very reliable.
