Monday, I'm trying out for our school play. We're doing Tommy, a rock opera by the Who. It's not that I don't think I'll get in, I was in extra in the school plays for the past 2 years, and that's an accomplishment for a freshman/sophmore. Now I want an actual part...I'm DYING to get the part of Sally Simpson.

Character Description: Sally Simpson is an idealistic teenager of the 60's. she is a small town girl with a bit of a rebellious streak. She needs to be innocent enough to represent all of Tommy's best fans, but cognizant anough of the real world to know she has to be a bit deceitful to get what she wants. She is completley in love with the oldest Tommy, but has never mey him. Sally Simpson sings one up-tempo and one slow piece towards the end of the second act. A small big of cohoreography and a fight scene will be required. The role of Sally Simpson may be doubled with another role, but it is important that the audience not recognize Sally from earlier in the show. the role has a light rehearsal schedule.

I would really love to play kind of double sided character like that and I like singing fast and slow songs, makes thing more interesting. And I reallywant to fight onstage!

anyway, it will probably go to a senior and I have to learn the song I'm auditioning with THE DAY BEFORE! so I really need the good vibes

thanks in advance, guys!

[http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] thanks guys, the audition's tomorrow, I just got back from voice lessons and the song I'm singing is probably easy enough to sing. tuesday is the dance par of the audition...another scary thought.

I like how they did auditions last year, something about walking into an (almost) empty classroom with 2 people looking at you (how it's going to be done this year) is a lot more nerve wrecking than how theyy did it in the past...which was kind of more informal
