Well, I just bought this nice NEC 19" only like a year and a month ago and it is flat out dying. Everytime I turn the monitor on it takes like 7 minutes (and this time is increasing every time) before it will even display the top half of the screen properly.
The horizontal scan lines are all skewed vertically and come across diagonally with black space in between, and after a few inches of this they bunch up at the top into a mostly white blob.. it slowly corrects after 7 minutes. I called NEC and they told me I'm a month out of warranty >
Needless to say I'm pissed because it's a nice monitor and I spent alot of money buying it and it died in only a little over a year. So now I need to get rid of it and buy a new one for some ~$230.
So I have two questions:
1) What are you supposed to do with dead monitors? Crush them and throw them in the dumpster?
2) Do you guys have any recommendations for 19 inch monitors?
