"The Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy, by Douglas Adams. Starting Peter Jones as the book, with Simon Jones and Jeffrey McGiven"

So maybe its not from the 50's or 60's but it still rocks!

Ive also listed to radio productions of various Asmov Books, (not readings, productions), Pebble in the sky is classic...

My dad used to have all the Shadow and Gunsmoke radio programs on tape. We lsitened to them on long car trips and such. They were pretty cool.

My local radio station used to have a program called "Classic Radio Theatre" where they would play various old radio programs like The Shadow (one of the only ones I remember), and there were comedies, and murder mysteries. Unfortunatly, said program was on at about 4 o'clock in the morning, so I didn't often get to hear it.

Putting aside the old factor, I used to really enjoy Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. But my local radio station stopped carrying it as well.

Modern British and American comedy has a lot to thank The Goon Show for.

I love you.

Yeah, but you know what? This one, this one right here, this was my dream, my wish, and it didn't come true. So I'm takin' it back. I'm takin' 'em all back.

Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Where do you live? they might have another station around, I could look it up for you, and its no longer art bell, he retired. but they've got another guy.

about the topic: I do sometimes, but I like Imagenation theatre, if anyones heard that, I have like 50 CDs of it. Really great stuff. Modern radio plays, but they're really good.
