I had some fun with the demo a while back but never really considered buying it. How much does it cost nowadays?

Good graphics and has native linux support. Addictive yet repetive. An excellent game to take your anger out on. Just be sure to remember that people are very intense online.

I love it. It's my second favorite game after the original UT. Too bad my computer can't run it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

I played the demo when it was first released. It was a bit too buggy for my tastes, but the graphics were bleeding sweet.

However, it doesnt quite hold up against the original. The graphics might be better, but theres . . . something .. . that its missing. An aspect of the gameplay . . . oh, wait, thats right. A SNIPAR RIFLE.

the lightning gun is not quite a sniper rifle... sniper rifle leaves you with the ability to kill people without giving away your location.... lightning gun gives this little line from your location to the target... also slower firing rate than the UT sniper rifle

20 bucks USD for UT2k3, UT2k4 comes out late feb, early march, backwards compatible with UT2k3. Ut2k3 is frellin awesome, and runs at 30 fps steady on this comp, which if anyone knows my stats, BLOWS. That is, everything on lowest 800x600 32 bit depth. I can't find a flaw except how much the graphics suck on this machine. New comp tomorrow, woot!

I also think you can get a bit of a refund on 2K3 if you buy 2K4 and trade it in. I hope this trend continues with games! *nudge nudge hint hint EA sports*

I think that that is a good thing, as it prevents someone finding an amazing location, and then hiding there for the whole match.

Also, in CTF maps, where the 'sniper'/lightening gun is used for defense purposes, it doesn't matter if the player's location is given away.
