Hey, is there any easy way to convert MIDIs to mp3s? I got a bunch I wanna burn, but alas, they cannot burn MIDIs. Flames? Help? MoneY?!?

I just use Goldwave. Set your recording device to MIDI. Start recording, then play the MIDI. You won't get any background or static noise, just the MIDI.

Modtracker. It's freeware, and you can add some effects to make it sound better like bass boosts, reverbs and equalisers. If you can't find it, contact me on irc and I'll DCC it to you.

Yes, get modtracker, it's also known as modplug tracker. It's good for most anything to do with synthesized music.

I use something called Midi2Wav recorder. So far, it's been pretty reliable, and no problems with quality. You should be able to find a downloadable trial version with a quick search.

I used a midi to wave and then a wave to mp3 converter. I converted m Doom midis like that. Pity they're now sinificantly larger...

i just load the midi into windows media player (the basic version without the things like visulisations)
load up windows recorder and start recording then press play on media player.

note, you may need to change the speed of the one minute limit to be longer than the midi than record.

only do this if you want to listen to the midis.

That's also the encoder I use with modtracker. But I like the effects you can add.
