Battlefront is coming out for PC, just later. However, it's being made by Lucasarts so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I hope they bring this to the PC, this is great looking. Looks alot better than Republic Commando, I've been waiting for them to make this!

The article doesn't say anything about it being a PS2 exclusive. That's a good sign that the game might not suck. Then again it seems geared towards multiplayer and promisses foot and flying abilities. RS III's foot missions got terrible reviews. We'll have to see. Oddly enough I didn't find any mention of this game on LEC website.

Wookie, if you read my first post, it said (sorry about the rip)

Well, I'm guessing it's gonna be for PC and PS2. REasons...

1: Obvioulsy acn't be on Gamecube, because of all of the online features would have to be taken out, leaving a very short game.

2: this was in PlayStation Magazine, and I haven't heard anything of it coming out for Xbox.

Lucas has said many times this is for PS2, Xbox and PC.. silly hobbitses...

And its more like battlefield 1942, not socom. Hell, its pretty much battlefield 1942 with different skins and levels. It has the same classes (Scout, heavy trooper, engineer) and everything

Yeah and if you read more about the article. You will find out about the conquest game mode and how you can use Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker to your advantage. Also the Death Star....

I really wish that they will let Xbox players play with PS2 players, and those 2 play with PC players.. that would be cool

Um... Do you have any idea how complicated that would be? First of all, you'd have to get all three to be able to talk to each other, second, all the versions would have to be compatible, meaning no Xbox or PC patches, because PS2 can't do patches.
Third, and probably the most complicated, Sony and Microsoft and whoever runs the pc version would have to (gasp) cooperate, and share the same servers.

They'd use this as an excuse, and jack the price of the game up by 50 dollars. I'm happy playing it with other PC'ers only, thank you very much.

Hopefully it won't follow the laggyness of BF1942... maybe for once the X-wing will be made like it SHOULD be, fast,agile and lots of sheild... not slow and two hits from a tie and down you go. You forget that there ARE 56k modems and cable modems last I heard, thanks to PSO, unfortunatly nintendo has not taken advantage of this like they should, the other companies are smart in having online games for their consoles.
