Spirited Away, worth renting?

I heard alot of good reviews about it, but I just wanted to hear Massassi's opinions on it. Is it as good as Princess Mononoke?

Definitely more kid-oriented than Mononoke. I enjoyed it, and I generally dislike anime. I'd say it's definitely worth the rent - Hell, buy the thing.

Spirited away? Why does that sound so familiar, and why do the google images about it looks so familiar?

Anything by Hayao Miyazaki is GOLD. Princess Mononoke is really good, even dubbed, but after seeing Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke seems like Miyazaki's table scraps. Don't rent Spirited Away, buy it.

Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (aka "Spirited Away" [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]) is one of my favourite anime movies!
it's like Alice in japan... only better, heh.

Miyazaki does some great work and this is one of his best. definetely worth a rent or even a buy!

I work at a Hollywood Video store, and it used to rent pretty well during its prime. Can't say it'd interest me though.

You just can't beat a character where the nose is almost a character of it's own. She can be off camera but the nose is still there. Every Miyazaki movie has an ugly old woman of some sort (and I think the guy with glasses, at least I remember him from castle in the sky), but this one is his magnum opus. His coup de gras. His masterpiece.

So yeah, just see it for the old hag. You won't regret it. Trust me.

Hmmm I guess I will. Even though it sounds like it's more for children, I did enjoy "Kiki's Delivery Service"....

I liked it, I got for easter last year [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] . I could say I liked Mononoke (sp) better. I think Spited Away is more for younger people. But I still enjoyed it.
