It's been about that cold where I live, but without the wind chill. And yeah, it's not fun.

It's even colder up ere in Canada. -40 is about the same with both C and F. But with the windchill its almost -50c!! And our schools STILL aren't closing!

Suck it up.

You COULD set yourself on fire before you leave the house. You'd be pretty warm then.

It's pretty cold here in Rochester as well. All of the local schools have been closed for nearly the entire week, yet RIT, like probably every college in the north east, is still open.

I remember Lewis Black commenting on windchill, something like...

"You know what I don't buy? Windchill. The weatherman comes on and says, 'Today it'll be 15 degrees, but, but with the windchill, it's minus 3.' Well then it's MINUS 3 *******!"

It hasnt closed in the 2.5 years I've been here, and we've had some nasty storms during that time. One day during spring of my freshman year, the trees along the quarter mile were snapping it was so windy, and they didnt close for that.

My school was closed for 4 1/2 days last week due to snow and ice. It wasn't a ton of snow, but living in Oregon, everyone freaks out when a single snowflake hits the ground. It was so boring. I couldn't go anywhere. I did get to hack two snowmen apart with an axe. That was about the only fun part.

Oh well. School can still be closed... if the professors can't get here, they can't very well teach. Hehehe... not to mention commuting students... Hmm I'm supposed to have a test tomorrow... I wonder... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

That was very useful because I live in the UK. We've had high winds, clear skies and rain. Like normal, then. You could think it's summer.
