okay, i just recently installed Windows XP Pro onto my PC. everything appears to be working just fine. i have one (major) problem though. after some trouble shooting, it appears that this problem occurs only when i'm online, has nothing to do with the sites i visit, programs i have running, or time i've been online. we have updated our version of explorer and installed the latest version of internet software from our ISP (designed specifically for XP), but i still get a "system shutdown" message.
the message says that the "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) has terminated unexpectedly" and gives me a 60 second count-down to save & close out my programs before it shuts down. It also says that the shutdown was initiated by "NT Authority/System".
anybody lend a hand?? thanks!
