It's today's news in Sweden.

Discuss.

He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

The Israeli Ambassador is a complete tool. But to be fair the artwork was probably some Modern-art-piece-of-rubbish.

Or shall discuss what to do with The Isrealis and Palestinians in general?

No, no... it wasn't modern art rubbish.

It's POST MODERN art.

I can understand why he did it. It's exactly the same thing that would happen if there was an international exhibit glorifying Hitler, or if someone did an exhibit in the Basque country of Franco.

Someone glorified someone who purposely tried to kill as many innocent civilians as possible.

It's not that difficult to see why he did it.

It's pretty easy to understand the symbolism of the artwork. I mean, really... the woman's photo as the sail (the means of propulsion) on a boat sailing across a river of blood?

I think the fool's reaction to the artwork is more telling than anything else.

Wolfy: The artwork wasn't glorifying the suicide bomber. The exhibit and its title leads me to believe it was condemning her, actually, if for no other reason than associating someone with a pool of blood is practically always negative.

The suicide bomber is crossing from life to death in a boat stained with the blood of innocents. The contrast between her moral certainty and its violent results is the contrast between the boat and the water.

I love when people don't even attempt to think about what a work means when they condemn it.

I mean, I'm not a fan of some pieces of art, but that's because of what the creator actually said it means.

Perhaps he just thought it needed more light to be seen clearer so he could discern its meaning...

art is one of those things you cant diss up, unless youre the person who created it. because people can change their opinions on what it really means as often and however they want. always think before you act kids.
