Independents?

Seeing as how it's unlikely that Lieberman will win the nomination, and that I don't want to vote for Bush, I've begun looking at independents, and found this little site handy for seeing what issues the independent candidates support.

http://www.vote-smart.org/election_president_party.php?party_name=Independent

As it stands, it looks like I may vote for William Hall.

Right now I'm leaning towards O'Reilly.

Actually, O'Reilly is defending him (sorta) against a Media Onslaught.

I don't like Dean. Not because of his views (which I disagree with anyway) but because he likes to changes his view points alot.

That should be a good thing that he's capable of changing his mind. Reminds me of an old saying; Only fools never change their minds.

Except that I think Lieberman would make a good leader. Nice try, but not all of us republicans hate all democrats.

...Lieberman *is* a Republican..
A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

I suppose it would be the acme of foolishness to ask why you think Dean is insane or wouldn't be a good leader. Heck, as long as I'm dreaming, I'd like an example of his apparently incessant viewpoint changing.

Bob: I don't know. I read it as a efficient dig at Dean and the "elite media". You know, two for the price of one.

You mean, you think he's a Republican in his policies, or you think he's a declared Republican? Because it's odd for a Republican to previously the Democractic candidate's running mate, and now trying to get the Democratic nomination.

Yeah, dont vote for a independent, they will be lucky if they get .5% of the vote... Just give a vote to the candidate you MOST agree with, not agree with completely

But I don't like Clark, Dean, or Bush, and Dean and Bush seem to be the most likely candidates.

If this will please you liberals in some fashion, Bush has really lost points with this conservative. The whole amnesty for illegal immigrants is not good. This will only add to California's problems, not to mention the rest of the nation.

Because it would force companies to pay the immigrants minimum wage thus eliminating any incentive to hire them over American citizens?

Not really. The immigrants are really motivated workers. And they won't ask for benefits like us workers do. They'll be happy to take their...$6.75/hr. back home to Mexico. Oh yeah, they'll take our money and spend it their nation yet not spend in our nation to help bolster our economy.

Not to mention that once all those illegals gain amnesty, we have to provide services for them. This again, costs us big $$$. This is going to hit CA hardest. But TX, AZ, and NM are going to share their burden as well.

[But, I do not wish to divert from the main topic here so I shall say nothing further.]

Well ****, I wasn't aware that minimum wage was enough to allow someone to make constant trips back to their mother land to buy things there. And they will, naturally, because it's far more convenient than say, that grocery store that's three minutes away...

However, it is a bit of a problem when you change your mind every week in order to solicit more votes. It's just not possible to cater to every viewpoint at once.

I'll probably vote Libertarian or Bush, depending on how much I dislike Bush by November.

He's as far right as you can be without being a Republican. At least that's what I assume Sine is referring to.
