Firefox pointed me to this in the cantina a few nights back... I must say I've become horribly addicted. For a Star Wars nerd there's no question that this is a must play. Its not the prettiest thing out there, I mean, it IS all the work of ONE guy, but I'll be damned if it isn't fun. Its a much better representation of the Battle of Endor than what we got in XWA, at the least...

Note that the models are largely untextured, and the system requirements might be steep for some of you.... but seriously.. TRY. IT. NOW.

I completely agree, bloody good game. The latest version adds quite a few things that I missed, especially the ability to get extra missiles.

I like it.. except for some reason, as Im clicking around like a madman, it keeps opening up icons on my desktop, which in turn, causes the game to crash

My microsoft sidewinder pro doesn't work....

I reccomend http://www.antilles100.freeserve.co.uk/images/xwasmall.gif just to make the sounds more like the movie.

1.4 ghz for this crappy looking imitation? WTF! I wish I could try this but I am 500 mhz short on the CPU for this 1337 game.

And its programmed in VB! Extra point for the people who don't think VB is a "fake" computer language!

I dunno about the specs... probably some reason behind them.. or he's just being conservative.

I finally got to the Executor and HOLY CRAP does that thing have a load of turbolasers...
did manage to take it out by nuking the shield gens and then slamming into the bridge... really cool.

Anyway. This game is ALMOST as good as mine. I've gotten to Stage 4, but then fish's bug where it minimizes, and then when you maximize, the mouse appears and if you click in minimizes again, got me. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] Anyone know a way around this? I've gotten it back to be able to run again.. but not reliably.

I've destroyed the single SD, the first of the second two, and gotten the shields down on the third.. Bah. Stupid bug. I think my Tie record is 130 something.

I haven't played it enough to advance beyond attacking the second and third ISDs that pop up.

And I can say it is *much* more enjoyable than 1.0. Using the mouse to fly a ship...no.

Maybe it's just my gamepad (too lazy to plug in the joystick) but playing with it was unbearable. After letting go of the controller the ship when instantly rotate back 20 degrees or so, which didn't happen with the mouse.

Plus you have to click the button every time you want to fire, instead of just holding it down.

I love the graphics, though.

I had this bug too, however, when it stopped when I switched to 800 x 600 resolution. I still would like to find a way to get my controller to work though.

It won't run at all on my computer, and I meet the requirements as far as I know.

Yay, it's moddable!

I turned the Death Star into a happy face! Also I reskinned Endor to look better, made the explosions look respectable, and changed the laser sounds.

WOAH!!!! My monitor is so dark, those stars look normal! I looked at it on the laptop and saw all the blak spots and stuff!!!
