It's not too good to be true. They want to prove that they're the best hosting company on the net. So they'll give you 3 years to decide, but when that 3 years is up, you pay something like 26.95 a month to continue. So it's expensive on your 4th year.

That 5 bucks is for their LOWEST package, the one they give you for 3 years is NOT that package. And they DO NOT tell you that you're using a 30 dollar package, they just ask if you want to continue. you have to tell them that you want to downgrade if you wish to continue.
