Okay, this is just a story. there's one thing that's different from the rest of the stories here: I'm gonna post info about things that happen, everyone else just posts about their character. Understood? Yes? Good. And here we go...

Background info: The setting for this story is similar to current day Earth, except certain people can tap into the energy around us. (Not the force, and not everyone. I'll say who.) The story starts in a city similar to New York. The city has been attacked recently, and there are still gaping holes in some of the buildings. Giant chunks of concrete fall randomly, crushing unwary pedestrians.

All entrances and exits to the city are guarded by the local police force, which has been armed with one heavy tank for each exit. Only those with special permission may pass, and those who resist are shot.

Air raid sirens wail, and the strange fighters that recently left are suddenly back, prepared to rain even more destruction down on the city...

NSP (non-story post): Hey there, sorry I didn't get around to looking at this before. To tell you the truth, I myself can't don't understand what you want~ about jsut posting about our character I mean. You just want character traits and you make up teh story, or more like an RPG, where we give our own actions, and you decide the outcome of those actions? Also, I'm not sure if you want this to be serious or funny, because (please don't take this as an insult) the basic plot so far doesn't sound too serious (I only say that because it sounds like something out of "War of the Worlds", which was good for its time, but not exactly taken seriously today). If this is serious, give us more information: like for instance, if this is like a War of the Worlds, do you want it to be that style, where we think as people did in the late 40's? Things like that. The only other reason I can think that people haven't been posting is that I myself have started a story similar to this (called "The Change(The Second War)) and all the detials are on the first page.

I'll join in if I find out this can turn into a good story (whether comic or original and creative drama), I'll jump in, but just looking it over, it sounds like it oculd easily be a Godzilla movie. I think your writing is very good though, and I encourage you to look at some of the other stories that are already up and running and start your journey to fame and glory..er..I mean, get people to notice you for the good writer youc an be. Whatever happens, I hope for the best for you

NSP: Yeah, more RPG-like. As for the similarity to "War of the Worlds"... I was hoping for something different from that. The story should be more realistic, but some strange things will be allowed

As for the style, go along the lines of the background: modern, with small bits of fantasy elements and lots of Sci-Fi.

Sorry about not being clear on that... maybe now someone will help me out and introduce a character?
