Attention All Writers

While this isn't actually an interactive story, I felt that this thread was better suited to this forum than the Discussion Forum since it concerns interactive stories.

I am presently participating in a small web site that is entirely dedicated to interactive stories. It was founded by a small group of writers from The Admiral's Command Chamber forums.

But we need help. The forums have practically no activity. Currently there are only thirteen members, and out of those thirteen about three are active. We'd love to add new writers to our community and see an explosion of new and innovative stories. Come join us.

Here's the link: Toasters 'r' Us - Sign up and let the fun begin.

Wuss, Absolver here. Good move, I didn't even think about advertising here...

Note to would-be applicants; you may have trouble logging into the site, it is quite temperamental, but it will be fixed in the week hopefully...

And perhaps when I help finish up The Eternal War, I'll stop by over at the link. Sounds like a good place [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Some questions:

1) Any restrictions or preferences on types of stories? As far as genre, how interactive it is, etc...or is it pretty much like the Interactive Story Board here?

2) Is there/will there be a difference between the forums and the stories? Worded another way--are the forums for just non-story things, or are the stories "done" intereactive stories?

3) Is the name of the place from the old Toaster stories that use to be around on TACC?

4) Who ARE the corrent members (both active and non)? Just curious [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Thanks [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Geb,

To answer your questions;

1) If you scan the site, you'll see we cater to any genre or sort of story. If you wish for us to put a further partition on the types of stories (i.e. Sci-Fi, Action etc.) just ask us.

2) The nature of your question is quite ambiguous (as is the nature of this sentence, heheh [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] ), so I'll answer as such; the forums were designed specifically as an outpost for ongoing, but finite stories, that are finished one by one and added to the archive. As well as this, there is a general topic forum where writers can speak there minds about global issues.

3) Yes, well spotted [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] Much like the NeS, the fanatical writers from the "old Toaster stories" refused to cave into server shifts, lack of writers and general difficulties, and the TRUE die-hards (myself-Absolver, the insane creator-Wuss, and the most valuable writer we've ever had-Muuurgh) went so far as to create a site to continue this little obsession of ours...

4) There are currently four active members;

Absolver
Wuss
Muuurgh
FuNkY MoOsE

The last name is a friend of mine who I introduced myself.

Glad to answer any more questions,

TLTE/Absolver

What's the status of the website? It'll only let me go to the news and staff sections.

Any chance we can lure some of these talented writers over to the NeS side? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

As for me, I'm up for posting as often as I can (and have been, admittingly in small posts at o'dark-thirty), but the problem of getting to the site itself is rather tempermental at times (as you said), I'm having a difficult time doing anything very consistently.

I seem to have a feel for the site now though, and hope to aid in any way possible to supporting Toasters 'R' Us. BTW--think we should post something 'bout the site directly ON the stories wwe write for (you know, for those who are too lazy to click a thread over [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]), perhaps when the site finds a more stable address-thingy or whatnot?

And thanks for answerin' mah other questions [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

For all those knowledgable about the Toasters 'R' Us forum:

1) Do you know why the site hasn't been able to show up (at least on my comp)? If there's a new address, can someone tell me? I'd liek to continue going to it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

2) Since I know most (if not all) of those involved are also official Toaster story writers, I ask a big favor of you. Could you check out the "NeS in the realm of TACC" thread over at the TACC's interactive story board (you can click here for a direct link), and if you're REALLY kind, post for it? I'd REALLY appreciate it!

Any response that you can give owuld be much appreciated [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Hello.
I've been asking the same questions about the status of the site. However, I had nothing to do with the actual running of the site and thus have no answers nor solutions. Sorry.

But on a happier note, I've read your e-mail and would very much like to participate in the NeS TACC-subplot. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Sorry to bring up such an old subject, but I was wondering if any of you (meaning probably Wuss and TLTE) would happen to know anything about the status of the Toasters R Us site, would you? I know you guys didn't run it, but you did seem to be fairly involved with it, and I'd hate to see the stuff on the site forever lost and never to be seen again.

Also, if you jsut don't have any ideas to post, I understand, but I was just wondering if you'd be able to post soon for the NeS:TACC side-story Wuss [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Thanks again!

Who DID run the site? Mebbe we can contact them and ask 'em via e-mail.

If it's a no-go, do any of you die-hard Toaster writers think a similar site could be re-made? Cuz I think it was getting some good stuff there [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Ford, Geb, it was some guy who went by the name 'M00sed0g'. I posted a question about this site in the 'Good Ole Fight Time' thread. Anyways, it looks like if we want this thing back, we'll have to do it ourselves.

I just registered freewebs.com/write, where I'm in the process of setting up forums and such.

Well, the only problem with that (at least for me) is that I don't got any of the original toaster stories, or any of the stories that were incomplete on the forums themselves (and there was a few good ones there too!). So yeah [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] And stuff....

Where are ya TLTE?

Question, mainly to those who were regulars of teh Toasters R Us site (*sniffle* Why did it have to die?...)

Are any of the non-toaster stories still around, so perhaps we can continue them here or on TACC? I really wanted to continue writing for that Aliens-inspired one that you started, Wuss.

That, and where the heck is TLTE/Absolver? He was out for like 3 months, made one post on NeS about a couple weeks ago, then goes off dissapearing again? If only I knew where the heck he went...

There are others too, but since this thread was Toasters related, I figured I'd keep it related to Toaster-writers.
