You may wish to look through the Interactive Story Board archives as well. There's quite a few story threads that didn't quite get off the ground, and if new interest was given to it, it could be given the needed life to see its way through completion.
If your aim is for a thread with no definate end and you wish to keep it easy to join, my suggestion would be to start a new continuation after every story "arc." If the thread does not have a traditional dramatic structure, set an arbitrary number of pages (3-6 pages is probably a good limit if you feel NeSquared is "too big").
If you are really attempting for a
role-playing type of thread, as oppose to a story thread, you'll want to make it clear in your first post what you expect from other posters in your thread. Though that really applies to any thread I suppose.
Unfortunately, in any case, you're not likely to find writers currently on the ISB that will have time to join something new. It is why I constantly search for new writers when it comes to threads like NeS. My suggestion would be to get one or two new people you KNOW will be participating for however long you want and start from there.
Good luck on your new endeavors
