The Statocaster. Do you agree?

I always thought the Gibson Les Paul had that title...

Yes. I've always preferred Strats over Les Pauls, although I'm set on getting my hands on a Les Paul now that I've gotten a strat. Or maybe I'll go with a Tele...

Les Pauls are pretty cumbersome and heavy... strats are nice, i'd say it deserves the title well and proper.

I've always hated Strats. Ugly body and weak flimsy tone. I love the weight of a good Les Paul, and their tone is unbeatable.

a few of the reasons for the Strat's popularity... look at how many people use them, look at how inexpensive they are compared to a Les Paul, look at how many companies have copied the basic design...

i still prefer a Les Paul or SG over a Strat

That depends on the pickups & strings. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] Both can easily be changed.

I prefer strats (specifically Fender or its sister, Squier), because of it's shape, light weight, and nice, easy-to-manipulate tone.
Also, I'm in love with that sunburst finish. <--That's [one of] my guitar[s]. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
