Scratches in FruityLoops
2004-03-10, 8:25 AM #1
Is there a way to make scratches in FruitLoops? Like, record scratches if I'm using the wrong term. I poked around in my copy last night and didn't find anything like this, so did I miss it? Or is there a plug-in/instrument pack I can download to do this?

Well if you found some wav files or something of record scratches, you could use the sampler. I believe there are midi notes for record scratches also.

Two methods.
1) find a recording of a scratch and just use fruity to sequence it into your track
2) depending on what version of fruity you have, you may have access to the fruity scratcher. It's a plugin that simulates turntable scratches. I'm too alcoholed to tell you how to use it, but if you bump the thread for tomorrow, I can.

The scratcher is included in fruity 3. Never bothered to learn how to use it though.

Ok. In my FLStudio4\Plugins\Fruity\Effects directory, I have a folder called "Fruity Scratches". I'll assume this is the thing you spoke of. However, it doesn't display anywhere (that I can see) in the Browser. Inside the Fruity Scratches folder are the following: Fruity Scratcher.dll, Fruity Scratcher_Info.rtf, and a folder called Artwork that appears to have it's skin for the interface.

Anyone know either, A) Where I should look for it, or, B) What I can do with those files to make it work.

Insert a new track, and hit "More." You should be able to access it from there.

This is as for as I got.

If you can figure out how to make it actually create a scratching effect, let me know. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]
