Sounds like the annoying warning buzzer sounds from old NES games.

And you can tell he edited the video by watching his head and leg movements. It's fake.

Yes, fast. But sounded terrible. Props for being able to play that fast, however.

The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

bah, i wasted 2 minutes downloading a video of a SOLO... if he was playing some sort of riff at that speed, i would be loving it, apart from that, the slap playing at the end is nice.

He should get the drummer from The Berzerker to play with him.

Agreed [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

It was fast, but as mentioned before, not really amazing musically.

Nothing to be really amazed at really. When you get sweep picking down to a science, you can go beyond speeds like that, with no physical effort whatsoever.

Well, he's obviously a very talented player, but he's got no ear for melody at all. And yeah, most of the solo was just sweep picking, which is difficult to learn but once you have it down it's really not difficult at all.

It's not just sweeping, his alternate picking is pretty impressive too. His vibrato is really bad and there's no real music to it, but it's technically very impressive.

I don't know what to think... On one hand, yes, it's damn fast. On the other hand, I'd rather be listening to Ynvie Malmsteen.

uh, it's a shredding video, it's not meant to show off his melodic ability. Seb posted exactly the same kind of video in a thread and got highly positive feedback, neither video is particularly tuneful.

Yeah, but Seb's vibrato doesn't sound like it was done by a four-year-old with no fingers on his left hand.

That's why it's so wonderful!

Actually, I haven't looked at either video, but I don't see what's so great about fast guitar playing if it doesn't sound good.
I think someone who does simple stuff that sounds good is a much better guitarist, like in the song Boys Don't Cry by the Cure.
