Who is your favorite all-around singer/songwriter/guitarist/artist person? [not band]

It's kind of like a poll... basically I'm going on ONE person, not like band or someone from a band, but a stand-alone personality like John Lennon or someone. Clay Aiken... haha.

Anyways, mine is:

Jeff Buckley.

Don't laugh at me, but I would say Elton John. When he first started out he was the best rock pianist of the time, if not of all time. His albums were artistic statement. People forget that now that he's done stuff like Can you Feel the Love etc etc.

I think i'm really stuck between Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom) or Antti Kokko (Kalmah).

Laiho's a solo wizard, but his songs are often repetitive, while Kokko's a bit less of a mad soloist, but his songs are really great stuff.

Oh, and I know they're both from a band, but they do all the composing in their respective bands.

I heard an old song of his, and was surprised how rockin' it was. It was good too.

Cat Stevens doesn't really interest me at the moment. I've got so much other music to purchase.
