Ok people! I want to know what your favourite gaming soudtracks are and why! It's time to see which one is most popular on Massassi.

For me (for the moment) my fav is "Secret Weapons Over Normandy" by Michael Giachino, because while it parallels the early stuff by John Williams (ie. orignal Star Wars trilogy), this seems to be the first game where Giachino really sets himself apart, and creates a unique (and beautiful) style.

That's my two cents. who's next?

Deus Ex and Halo.

The music in Deus Ex did a supurb job in setting the mood for most levels. Halo's music was just flat out awesome and the way it was played (not all the time, only during certain places, mostly action) gave it almost more of a movie feeling. Something I very much liked.

RtCW has a good soundtrack. Its one of my favorites.

Also, can't forget the classics, like Dark Forces, X-wing, and TIE Fighter.

I forgot Freedom Fighters... that game has a really good soundtrack too. Love the song with the Russian Choir, in the opening sequence when the Russian subs enter New York Harbor...

Call of Duty, just has that almost touching music to it, especially in the final level when the Russians single-handedly take back Red Square! IT WAS WOOTAGE!

And in the main menu, can't forget that now can we?

Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, and Unreal Tournament.

Outlaws was quite good too.

Oh, I guess I forgot to say why.
The soundtrack is guitar folkish type stuff, and it's awesome. The song "Anna's Theme" is very beautiful.

Oooh, I forgot those games. I don't remember much of the CoMI music though except the theme song, but The Dig had awesome music.
Sam N Max Hit the Road also had awesome music in it.
