I strongly object to Spork rating Blink 182 over 'Evanescene - My Immortal' which is a beautiful piece of piano and vocal work.

Overrated?

Anything I dislike or that I've heard so many times it becomes a chore to listen to.

Thank you. They do have some nice songs, The Grudge and Schism I like, but otherwise I dislike their philosophy and attitude, and I dislike Maynard.
APC also did a decent cover of David Bowie's Ashes to Ashes and didn't butcher it, so I respect them quite a bit for that.
I think Tool does better on relatively poppy songs like The Grudge and Schism. I know people say that they're brilliant and I can see why they say that, but I think such claims are overblown. APC doesn't sound quite as pretentious to me, but they still have Maynard.

In short, I respect that they're talented, but that doesn't mean I like the music they make.

I guess I'll weigh in on Stairway.
I love that song. The reason so many people are slamming it is backlash. I think it's great, but I can see why someone won't like it.

It starts out with a nice guitar tune, and then the flute plays the same melody and it's beautiful. Then there's a bit of singing and the guitar picks up, then it rocks quite nicely. That's why I like the song.

They looked overrated at Leeds when there were about 120,000 people stood in front of them looking in awe (i went to the bar).

Yeah, I can understand that, but it still sort of annoys me how apparently everyone makes fun of Linkin Park just to be cool. It's not like they're the only bad band. In fact, I think they've got some decent songs. I'd take them over a lot of the stuff that people who make fun of them like.
