Did anyone see the new CNet music site beta? It's the one that's 'supposed' to replace mp3.com. They kept babbling about hey they were gonna improve service and add features to what we had with mp3.com... So far it's a pain in the ***. They give you a 50 meg limit, which would already be barely enough for one album... but to make it even worse, they only accept files encoded at 192kbps, meaning you get EVEN LESS music.. 50 megs at 192kbps is barely 30 minutes of music! I've been waiting for MONTHS for this damn service to come out and this is why I get? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/mad.gif]

Guess it really is the end of independent artists. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

What!? 128 kbps is usually sufficient (provided it's at 44.1 kHz or higher, sometimes even 22 kHz is just as good).

That must be their "screw u over" tactic.

*me hugs software I can't say on Massassi*

Well after taking a look at the forums, the staff do seem pretty honest and involved with the community, so hopefully they'll improve on the service later on.

Pure Volume

It's great for listening to up and coming artists, but I'm not totally sure about how much space they'll let you have, as an artist.

I like Kazaa. And of course, I only download songs which have been licensed expressly for that purpose or I pay for the premium download, because anything else would be unethical.

your sig is too long and causes a horizontal scroll bar

...

and again asfar as mp3.com replacements soundclick would be the best one... not only that but they are faster than mp3.com with song approvals

mp3.com used to be within a week of uploading (usually 3-5 days) but in the last few months it got to be WEEKS before they would approve your song if you were on a basic account
