Well, the bands I would buy a new album from without hearing even one new song would be:

Coldplay
Radiohead
Muse
Travis
Powderfinger
Counting Crows
Doves
Oasis
The Verve (*cry*)
Jump, Little Children (if I could ever find any of their albums for sale in Australia)

You're probably not ever going to find their albums for sale in Australia. eBay or Amazon is your best bet.

Ohh... how I wish they would release some of their B-sides (Darkest Love, Where She Lies)

For albums, there's Smokin' at the Half Note...I'm also looking to pick up just about any Jim Hall and Ed Bickert, too. Instrument-wise, there's the Godin I'll be buying if I get into college. Which I will. So I'll be buying it.

Tracer, nice choice, what model godin? you getting the flatline classical guitar models?

I've been considering getting one myself, nylon strings have a much better range of tone and colors than steel strings for recordings and overall playing.

And I guess there's Joe Satch's new album to check out, and maybe a new Opeth (if there's a release this year). A new Symphony X too, if I'm lucky.

Carbon-Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden (CD)
Juno Reactor - Live in Tokyo (DVD)

I've already downloaded the CBL album which ruined was a bad thing, because my girlfriend told me after she heard me listening to it in the car, that she had just ordered it imported from Europe 2 weeks ago and was going to suprise me on my birthday. :/

I've been waiting for the JR DVD for a long time. It's supposedly going to finally release in the USA in June. I'm soooo hyped. They're even scheduling a US tour this year called "World Domination". Things are looking up!

Anyone else going to see Paul Oakenfold's free show in St. Louis this summer?

I'm probably going to get the Multiac Jazz...at my local music store, they've got two for sale at a $700 discount (that's brand new, no problems - they've just been sitting on the rack for months) for $1300. If I don't grab one in time, I'll probably settle for the Solidac. But yeah, I tried one of the nylon-string Multiacs, and it was great.

Although technically I do have a Godin in my La Petrie Presentation classical. Sort of.

Primus-The Brown Album
Primus-Antipop
Snatch Soundtrack

And I don't know if they have it on CD, but I really want to find a copy of the Blues Brother's album and/or movie soundtrack.

The Snatch soundtrack has Golden Brown by The Stranglers and Angel by Massive Attack on it! Those songs both rule.

Snatch is awesome. It's about several different groups trying to steal a diamond.

Oh, and I can't stand Jet. Just thought I'd mention that.

It's a movie by Guy Ritchie, the same guy who made Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

If you havent seen either, go out and rent them right now!

You're telling me you've never seen Snatch? Take Spork's advice, and go rent both movies, NOW! And yes, Golden Brown and Angel do indeed rule.
