Massassi remix contest?

I was thinking, there's some talented music on massassi. I have a song that I'd like to offer you all the chance to remix. But before I go and post the samples, I'd just like to see if anyone is interested first.

What I would do is post up each bit in a zip file for download, and you see what you can do with it. There wouldn't be any winners or prizes, but just a chance to have fun.

Either that, or maybe I could post random samples (or we all could) into a collectivee pool for a week, and then all take stabs at using them in a song.

Anyone interested?

Well, not interested in remixes anyway... maybe a full song though... that could be fun.

That was my 2nd offer. If we all contributed samples to a thread, then put up a timeframe to make your song in, that'd work just as well. I have a ton of samples that I've never even touched that I'd be willing to donate.

Everyone feel free to make their own suggestions for this contest. Actually, I'm gonna call it a "community activity" from now on. I'd rather not make it a contest at all.

I'd rather do a remix. I do songs constantly and so do all the massassian musicians.. this would be no different than just making more songs and posting them here. If it's a remix however, it gives us something to compete with.

Well we could use instruments couldn't we? I can do both - I use FL and my guitars together constantly.

That's what I'm saying. The thing is, I'd like there to be a bit of consistence between the pieces. That's why I was suggesting a remix or that we all use a specific sample in a creative way. But even something as simple as an odd time-signature would be fun to do. anyone interested in writing a 7/8 or 7/12 song or something else weird?
