So, I tried to go to the Zao show tonight with a few of my friends, and half the crowd were these pit kids from Salt Lake. As if it wasn't bad enough that despite their sXe tattoos they reeked of smoke (and body odor), but they were trying to punch people out and kick people in the head. Generally the crowd opens up and gives the pit kiddies their space, but these guys can actually jump-kicking people standing along the edges. Security finally dragged them out after one of them got an elbow to the back of his head.

Our punk scene has a ton of intense pit-kids. I occasionally like to join in when it's a big concert, and maybe chemically altered, but these guys are insane. They come at anyone in reach with their spiked jewelery and fists. Spinning around, limbs flailing, with your eyes closed doesn't really sound too fun to me. :shrug: To each their own, just leave me out of it

our pits are a bunch of people who think they know karate who also can't dance worth crap...

the problem here though is we don't have many metal bands so we don't have as many people who know what a pit is... it's all pop-punk, hardcore, and emo... we have one metal band

I rarely mind people who push into me. I mean, sometimes to crowd just moves, you get pushed and pulled all over the floor, and it's just part of the show, but some people actually hit people. It's people like them that make me desire a collapsible baton.
