Not MegaMan X remixes this time, though. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]
As usual, these are Christian songs. (I swear I have a rock song coming sometime. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif])
Anyways:
Soundclick.

First is "I'm Longing," a relatively fast and completely acoustic song (with almost a bluegrass sound, but not quite). And a fun acoustic guitar solo. (#47 the first day. Yay!)
Second is "River of Life," a slower song with one of my favorite electric guitar effects for slow songs (that makes it sound like a MercyMe song). Has a light and airy sound to it that I don't hear too often.
The other 2 I've posted before, so ignore them, I guess. (Started at #102, and is now 110. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] )

That's it.

Genesis 22:2-5 - And God said unto Abraham "You must kill your son, Isaac." And Abraham said "What? I can't hear you! You'll have to speak into the microphone." And God said "Check, check, check, check. Jerry, can you pull the high end out. I'm getting some hiss up here."

If it's anything like mp3.com was, it's a ranking according to the number of people you've had listen.

Good stuff DogSRoOL, but the bridge in "I'm Longing" sounds way too long, maybe another melody might fit better, IMHO. Have you tried backing your vocals in the chorus? I think it would sound great.

And "River of Life" sounds great [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Why does everyone sing better than me? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Long? Do you mean low? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] Because if so, I agree. And I tried to find something else, because it caused the key change to go down instead of up, which sucks, but is at least different, and sounded good on da bass.

And as for backup, I think I couldn't find anything that sounded very good. Either that, or I forgot to do it. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif]
I'll try to get something in there, because I think it would sound better, too. But I've been writing more songs lately than I can keep up with. I was in the midst of recording one last night when I started writing another. (Somewhat similar to I Want to Know You more but with more of a rock tone, hopefully. It's kind of sad that I can't write music in the style I prefer most.)

There's one thing I've noticed with singers: Nearly everyone is critical of their own voice. So it's possible that you don't sing as bad as you think.

When I have trouble finding a back vocal melody, I'll use RBC Voice Tweaker. It's a DXi plugin that lets you use a MIDI track as input, and then transposes your voice track to the right notes. So you can fool around with a MIDI track, putting in all sorts of stuff and checking it out to see if it sounds good. Once I find something, I usually delete the DXi and MIDI tracks and then record the backing track with the melody I just found and with my real voice instead of the transposed one. It's a very handy tool, email me if you want any more info about it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
