Guess the lyrics game...
2004-06-20, 2:35 PM #1
We havent had one of these in a while.
Here's the rules:

1) Must be a song that has been released. No unreleased or demo versions allowed unless they are widely available for purchase (i.e Amazon). BOOTLEG versions DO NOT count.

2) please DO NOT POST THE ENTIRE SONG. keep it to one line or one verse/chorus max.

3) If it is a cover, the original performer and the performer covering the song count as answers.

4) You MUST wait your turn to post lyrics after you have guessed correctly and the original poster has confirmed this. Even if the clue is Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings you must wait for confirmation to keep this thread from degenerating into everyone just randomly posting.

5) If the thread is idle for 2 days after a guess has been confirmed and no new lyrics are posted the thread will be hijacked and I will post new lyrics to keep the game moving so make sure to keep checking the thread if you make a guess.

6) If someone passes their turn to someone else and specifies a person to take their turn that person has 1 day not 2 to post their lyrics.

7) If it is a live version of a song commercially available on DVD or CD you MUST list this along with the lyrics.

*special thanks to DrkJedi82 for easily editable forum game rules.

It is still my turn to post lyrics but I'll answer stat's anway: Bound for the Floor by Local H.

I don't wanna be a old man anymore
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor
Shakin' booty, makin' sweet love all the night
It's time I got back to the good life
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
'n I don't even know how I got off the track
I wanna go back, yeah!

You'll never be along again
You'll never die again
You'll never be born again
You'll forever be, stuck here in eternity

They say music can alter moods and talk to you
Well can it load a gun up for you and cock it too?
Well if it can, and the next time you assault a dude
Just tell the judge it was my fault, and I'll get sued

I saw two shadow men on the Vallance Road
Said they'd pay me for your address
Oh I was so bold

I said you see these two cold fingers
These crooked fingers I show
You a way to mean no
