I'm wondering if anyone here knows where I can get some free wav samples or VST's of various orchestral instruments. The problem with using just one sample for each instrument is that if I use it for higher pitched notes it sounds like totally compressed crap. You know what I mean. Those would be useful to me as well. Unfortunately, I don't know where to find them either. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Banks and banks of humming machinery! I've never seen so many knobs. We're going to have to do something, Charlie! Try pushing that button there. No? How about that one? No, not that one either. I know! I'll try pushing this one. Hold my hat will you? Good fellow.

Oh woe, oh woe! I found a suite of orchestral instrument VSTs, but it costs $400 or something.

I usually just find some random chords and string notes from various tunes and cut em out. Engineering it to loop correct isn't very difficult at all.

Orchestral Instrument VSTs for $400 aren't going to be very hoog quality. I think the best sounding ones are like $2500 or something. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

What I really need are some high quality samples.

Actually, they were excellent quality. I listened to several mp3s using them.

If you can give me a few specific examples of what you want, I can have a few high-quality samples uploaded within 2 days. Either post here or email me

Well, what I really really really really really need is an actual realistic orchestra cymbal crash sound. (like the kind the london symphony orchestra uses for star wars music.)

And then I need several variations of a french horn, a trumpet, and some strings.

btw thrawn that is really impressive. I think I should save up for that.
