Streetlight Manifesto w/ Big D
2004-08-16, 11:58 AM #1
In about 5 days, Streetlight Manifesto, perhaps my favorite band of all time kicks off a show with Big D and the Kid's Table in Atlanta, GA. I'm SERIOUSLY considering going. Anyone else that's been on their current tour care to comment on the quality? It'll just be at a little club-place, but my friend said he could snag me a ticket if I wanted one. Extremely tempting, though I dont' know if it'll fly with my parents. I'll probably end up going.

So comments on the tour so far? Whelly, Martyn, MB, comments much appreciated (I know MB saw them as Catch 22).

I missed Big D because my train was late into the city or something.
Catch 22 at the show didnt have alot of energy. They were good, but not amazing. Anyway, I did enjoy seeing them.
Who else is playing at your show?

What are you waiting for? Streetlight is gonna be there! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] I would go to that show just for them. Big D and the Kids Table is alright, but Streetlight is definitely the best ska band I've heard. You better go, and tell me how it is!

I was considering going to see Reel Big Fish, RX Bandits, Lucky Boys Confusion, Big D, and Catch 22 a while back, but it never really excited me all that much. On the other hand, I would've gone to a Streetlight show no questions asked. BTW, do you know if Tomas Kalnoky is staying in Streetlight, and if they're making a new album?

Also, I checked out Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution. They're awesome. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

See I would LOVE to, but the problem lies in my parents--this is a kid they don't know, who's taking me some-odd 3 hours from home, just to go see a concert and I may not be back until around 3-4 in the morning. I'd really love to go.

And yes, BotAR is win. Their insanely long-titled song is great, as is It's a Wonderful Life. Good stuff.
