Spoken Word songs

What are your favorite spoken word songs? Link to the lyrics as well.

Billy Bragg- Walk Away Renee
It has a really beautiful guitar line and the words are great too. It's sort of about the awkwardness of a romantic relationship.

Tom Waits- What's He Building?
This one works much better if you hear the song to get the spooky sound effects. There's something unsettling about this one, but you don't know why.

Hey, that site is wrong!
It credits Sheena is a Punk Rocker to The Clash, when it's a Ramones song.
It also credits Hallelujah to Jeff Buckley, and that's originally a Leonard Cohen song!

The first one is more forgivable than the second one.

All right, that's it, I'm relenting. I'm downloading that Jump song in your sig.

In case you're interested, www.allmusic.com gave two star reviews to their first two albums. Allmusic is pretty forgiving, so a bad rating from them means something usually. That's one reason I didn't check out the band.
Anyway, it looks like they gave their newest one four stars. That's an impressive leap.

[ten minutes later]
It was okay. Some parts I liked and some I didn't. I thought the way they transitioned to the chorus wasn't very original.
But overall it's pretty good power pop, and I will listen to it more.

Leonard Cohen wrote a brilliant song, but Jeff Buckley gave it soul.

Jeff Buckley's version does sound soulish.
I need to hear the original to compare.
Cohen can do soul though, just listen to his album Ten New Songs.

Oh wait, the version I heard was a Leonard Cohen live version, I think.

I'll listen to them tomorrow.

Anyway, since I downloaded a song you like, how about you download a Glen Phillips song?
Give this one a try.

Kind of reminds me of Snow Patrol mixed with Damien Rice...

Ya, Young America is not Jump's best song by far. Most of the fans hate it, but it was their official single for their new album. I think it's ok... if you're looking for one of their best, grab Opium, the live version.

Septic Yogurt: I liked that one.

I liked yours as well, Schming, but the second one's better IMO.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to find the song you mentioned on Soulseek, but I'll look.
I'll assume that a cross between Snow Patrol and Damien Rice is a good thing.
I'm trying to get the song Opium on soulseek, but I haven't found anything yet.
