Any musicals you like for the kickass music in equal amounts to the actual film?

Little Shop Of Horrors is a favourite of mine, as is the South Park Movie & Cannibals: The Musical, both by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (i love some of the songs in them).

The Blues Brothers is also an amazing film with amazing music.... any you like?

Grease has a crappy story but some buzzin tunes too, now i remember.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Portobello Road is a great song, and nothing is cooler than animated suits of armor and uniforms kicking the Nazis' *** out of Britland.

Little Shop of Horrors is great. In a school play I saw, which I was told was based off of the actual play, all of the characters get eaten. I much prefer the movie ending. Also, Rick Moranis kicks *** .

I love the South Park movie. I own the soundtrack. It's definitely my favorite musical.

I've never heard of Cannibals: The Musical, but if Stone and Parker made it, I'll have to check it out. Just from the title, I can tell I'll probably like it.

I haven't seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks since I was 5 or 6. I need to see it again.

Moulin Rouge. It's like my third favorite stand-alone movie of all time.

The Court Jester!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the songs in the South Park movie, but I thought the actual movie wasn't as good as the show.

All you need is love.
It's not the side effects of cocaine, so then I'm thinking that it must be love

Yes! I got my sister and many friends to watch that movie and they fell in love with it. First off Baz Luhrman's directing style, the concept, the music. I LOVE the movie [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Moulin Rouge, yes...also, Jesus Christ Superstar. That musical has some oomph, and the characters are so well done...

Jesus after the 39 lashes, with Pilate..."Where are you from Jesus/What do you want Jesus, tell me? You've got to be careful/you could be dead soon/could well be..."

Caiaphas, High Priest of Jerusalem, flanked by his fellow priests..."I see bad things arising/the crowd crown him king which the Romans would ban! I see blood and destruction/our elimination/because of one man!"

The inimitable King Herod..."So you are the Christ/yes, the great Jesus Christ...prove you me that you're divine/change my water into wine!"

Jesus at Gethsemane..."God thy will is hard/but you hold every card.../I will drink your cup of poison/nail me to your cross and break me/bleed me, beat me/kill me, take me now/before I change my mind!"

A terrific and entertaining play, if slightly controversial...
