Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez

This 10:28 song is a wonderful masterpiece, combining flamenco guitar with wonderful dramatic Spanish strings. I re-discovered it on my "Decaf Classics" CD, and have fallen in love with this beautiful piece of work.

Hungarian Dance no. 5

Just a badass song. It's been so long since I've heard it.

I suggest giving it a listen.

Yep, that is a great piece. Who was the guitarist? You listened through the whole piece? Probably not likely, cause compilations like that almost always only select the second part (the adagio). Only considering the adagio, my favorite part is when the orchestra shuts up, and the guitarist plays this great bass line melody.

Overall, my favorite part is the first. See if you can get a complete version, maybe by Paco de Lucia, Alexandre Lagoya, Julian Bream, Pepe Romero, ... all great guitarists, all with different interpretations.

Rimsky Korsakov, The Flight Of The Bumblebee

I love how the complete lack of tonal quality is what the song revolves around. it's more about the feeling of the flurry of notes than the notes themselves. I rarely see chromatism used in such a brilliant way.

Virtually anything by James Horner, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Howard Shore. I've been downloading soundtracks like a madman lately, as you may have guessed. Tis great study music. The musicians of old have some great stuff, but they'd be obvious choices.
