May I present... a work in progress (new demo)

If you remember a couple of weeks back I posted an instrumental song. Here's that song with vocals. I wanted to see what you guys thought of the it. The vocals are pretty much finished except on the bridge I'm going to be adding harmonies. Well... the main bridge or whatever, the entire song is kind of weird, but it flows well I think.

Have at you!

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

It's really good. I missed the instrumental version, but I like the music. I like the minor chord near the beginning; I wasn't expecting it.
Your singing has improved since the last song of yours I heard. I think that one was called Under the Couch.

thats great schming
you're band(and especially your voice) has improved a lot since the last time i heard one of your songs
and while that may have been a long while ago, you still get the point

this sounds a lot like a band called Lovedrug that i've been listening to lately... great stuff
yay for not posting much ever

thanks guys. i cant wait to actually finish it up along with the other songs i'm tracking. finished the vocals on one song last night completely. the harmonies sound really cool. i'm excited.

but ya, i dont mind being compared to coldplay, but it's not quite the same style. that's like saying that everything with 2 distorted guitars playing powerchords is metallica-ish.

Its much darker than any Coldplay... even though the lyrics aren't really particularly dark...

I don't know why but it sort of reminds me of Pink Floyd.. I think in some really far out way there is a Floyd influence in there. The lead guitar has a sort of Gilmour feel to it.

Would you kill me if I said the only Pink Floyd song I've ever listened to is The Wall. Or is that song Money by them too?

You're not that similar. I just know you're a fan of them.

Interesting. I'll have to listen for that next time I listen to the song.

Their first album, Piper At The Gates of Dawn, is their best. It's very brit-poppish, a lot like Sgt. Pepper actually. That album alone is better and much more influential than all their other albums put together.

Dude, your band should just be called, "Schming."

...or is it?

Anywho, awesome stuff there, man. :D

Definately sounds very pink floyd-ish.

Totally awsome song. And yes, you've improved much since last time.

Schming, holy crap that was awesome.

I love the part that starts right at about 2:15. The "oh"s. Great stuff.

Do you take singing lessons?

Are you gonna post it again after you add the harmonies?
'Cause I wonder if it would almost work better without them. It would be interesting to compare.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the song title reminds me of Neutral Milk Hotel.

I havent taken singing lessons yet, but I'm looking to get some.

The harmonies would mainly be on the 'Ohhhhhhhhhhhh' part and I think a very light falsetto harmony turned way down would sound cool. I dunno....
