Removing voices from audio.

I want to put my 99 Red Death Star's song to music, (http://forums.massassi.net/vb/showthread.php?threadid=26832), (I want someone to sing it), but I don't want there to be the other version in the background.

Are there any programs that will automatically, or allow me to manually, remove the voices from an mp3?

I remember removing vocals with Cool edit pro or something like that. I think its an adobe program now, so check their website.

There's some DirectX plugins which can remove vocals from some tracks. They use phase inversion if I remember correctly, so they're far from perfect and can affect the instruments as well.

try to find a sample of the song where theres only singing and nothing else, then use that as a noise profile, then run a noise removal filter.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.
