I just saw him live today here at RIT...wow. I mean, not what it would have been like fourty years ago, but he's still a legend. Even if his voice has been ruined by cigarettes, it was still amazing.

Cool. I've just started getting into him.

Cigarettes ruined his voice... a ruined voice never stopped him in the beginning :p
Actually, I think his voice has always been fine. Lou Reed sounds like him.

yea i heard his voice is really screwy live these days... but who cares, his cackling obnoxious birdsong was always a nice quality of the music.

its good stuff but not for every situation, sometimes it can send me off to sleep.

Was going gto go see him at URI, but a lot of people who've seen him last year have told me it really wasnt worth the $50, heard he just mumbles a lot of his songs now
