Amazing acoustic guitar video

Prepare for awesomeness.

BTW: If anyone could tell me how I can save this to my computer, I'd be very grateful.

Nice.

wow, that is amazing
2004-12-15, 4:23 PM #4
It seemed like he simply sped up the tempo in the middle of things, and that didn't sound all that good to me. Otherwise, the actual thing is amazing.

Disclaimer: I don't know anything about music.

Google CamStudio and download it. Set the program to record the portion of the screen that has the video on it and start recording. It'll take both sound and video from the source. :)

It's not bad. He can jam pretty good when he's fast, though.

Though not to that degree, a lot of what Ani Defranco plays is in that style, so if you like that, I think you'd like her. The actual playing was good, he was incredibly accurate, even in his more 'slap' style strumming that he was doing. But I dont know what the huge fuss is, you've never heard eddie van halen tap?
2004-12-15, 5:06 PM #9
Eddie's tapping is very basic compared to that. The best example of similar tapping from metal is probably something by Symphony X.

Something that's complicated and pleasant to the ears. Very nice.

That program can't capture the video Yecti. Any suggestions?

That guitarist plays a very different style of tapping than the ultimate tapping virtuoso: Stanley Jordan. Check out some videos of him if you can find them.

I saw that video about a year ago, and I am still just as impressed as I was then. Great skill.

Man, that was crazy, I wish I could play guitar like that. I play piano though :p

ArcharJay, I opened the asx file in Notepad, it gives you the web address of the file.

Here you go:

Now that I've watched it.... That was ****ing awesome!!!

Heh, my friend showed me this just last week so I learned it. If you look at tabs it isnt as difficult as you think. His speedy strum bits without a pick are the only things I can't do.

Do you think you could post the music for this?

It's actually already saved to your computer...

go to

c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\temporary internet files\

sort by type and go to Windows Media Files... It's there as both the asx and the WMV. :)

Nowhere near as impressive but here's a cool song played on an acoustic... http://jessecook.com/video/video1.html
I've been looking for a tab for this song for a while, if anyone has any idea where I can find it I'd appreciate a link.
2004-12-16, 10:20 AM #22
Mbeggar, do you mean the tab for it?

That was neat, but I've seen a guy do similar things with a bass live. Now THAT was awesome.
