Best wireless equipment
2005-01-19, 12:46 PM #1
I'm looking for some wireless guitar equipment, so I want to know what the best brand is for wireless. Out of what I've seen people use, Senheiser seems to be the best and receives the least interference and has the least drop-outs. Unfortunately, their wireless systems are a bit pricey (for me, anyway). So what's a good brand?

Hey, there's a base just down the road from my church. And we use wireless stuff all the time w/o any problems.

I've worked only with Senn wireless products, and they are fan****ingtastic.

It was a Spinal Tap reference.

Nady would be the cheapest, but they do make quality gear for the most part. You get what you pay for and a little bit more.

Shure makes awesome stuff, but what they're really known for is performance mics.

Senn would be the best bet, but like you said, it's about the bling.

I remember them using a wireless Shure mic at my old college, and it used to cut out randomly, I don't know if that's a common problem or just a product defect.

We've had two different wireless mics from Audio-Technica (one hand-held, one headset). Both sucked. Audio-Technica makes my "never buy" list.

um... just thought I'd let y'all know. :o

I have my eye on a Nady wireless system I found for a great price, but it's not for guitar.

...unless I can find an adapter or cable that goes from a 3.5mm locking plug to a 1/4 inch plug. I can't seem to find anything. Although I could probably make something. But I'd rather not.

Not a bad buy. Especially for $50.

I'm looking into wireless in-ear monitors. So far I've seen Nady/Shure. Shure has a plastic cased one for $400 for the base station and each pack is $200 or so. BUT they also have steel cased ones for about $100 more each... I'm not sure we'd need steel ones because we dont kill each other onstage...

I can't find that friggin cable anywhere on the internet. :(

Plenty of 3.5mm -> 1/4" cables, but none with a 3.5mm locking plug. A regular one should work, but I want the more solid connection.

Ive got a carvin amp, and if their other products are similar, they rock. Very very much so.
