Okay, this may surprise a lot of you, but I -do- have a soft spot for commercial sounding rock. this isn't my average metal suggestion so if you're only looking for that. leave.
if you have an open mind however, here are two wonderful songs by Richie Kotzen, an amazing guitar player. I don't care what all of you think about lyrics, but the ones he writes seem Human and down to earth, and are really honest. The music in itself is just as alive, even if simple, I love it.
And the guitar solos... oh my god.
