I met up with these guys at Cégep en Spectacle back in the Spring of 2004.

Check out the songs "Viandure" and "Paté d'pue." Especially the slap around 1:13 in "Paté d'pue." They guys ****ing own.

I almost broke my thumb slapping when I was practicing with my band a while back. The lesson here is don't try to slap on a cheap bass.

How the hell did you manage that? :eek:

I've slapped on my friend's cheap bass before. It sounds like crap but it sure wasn't dangerous! :p

It was hard to get a decent slap sound out of it, so I had to slap it harder. Unfortunately, the pickups are rather obtrusive, as is the bridge. So from time to time I would miss the string or have my thumb at the wrong angle and *crack*. I did that many times.

Now I'm afraid to slap on any bass. :(

Also, I don't have a good bass to record with anymore. Our bass player left, and now I can't use her bass anymore.

I miss her. :(

*cries*
