Desert island discs...

I'm sure that this has been done before, but I think we can do it again. You all know the situation. Stranded on a desert island indefinitely. Cut off from civilization. If you could only bring 3 CDs with you to the island, what would they be?

Mine:

- Led Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin

- The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

- How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb - U2
The man in black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed...

Muse - Absolution

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head

Radiohead - The Bends

That was surprisingly easy...

Ooh, I love these things (I'm going to expand it though)

CDs:
Tool - Aenima
Tool - Lateralus
Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory

Movies:
Fight Club
Kill Bill
Lord of the Rings

Books:
Neverwhere, Neil Gaiman
American Gods, Neil Gaiman
Lord of the Rings, JRR Tolkein

(Okay, maybe I cheated a little on the movies...)

none... i'd steal a 40GB iriver and load it up with a bunch of oggs encoded to quality 10

(that is if it supports that quality level... for those who don't know 10 is ~500kbps)

No, no, no! :p You can't do that! It's against the rules!

Oh, and Vincent - Kill Bill is one of my top three favs, too. An EXCELLENT movie.

I hate you. I think you simply do not have the decisive capabilities to pick your three favorites... Prove me wrong! :D

That's ok. I can fit most of my music collection by burning it as mp3s on three CDs.

But if you mean only those crappy formats that hold ten songs per CD... well, I think I'd just kill myself.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

BLASPHEMY!

but yeah mp3 cd players are a better option for such a situation as stuck on a desert island... since i mean on a desert island you can't realy complain about sound quality when it helps keep your sanity a little longer

I wouldn't bring any recorded music. I would bring a musical instrument.

Yeah, good idea. I would probably bring a guitar and an endless supply of strings. Third item I'd bring with me is my voice, so I can finally try to learn to sing decently without driving people insane
