I saw them in concert a few months ago, and have some of their albums. I can honestly say that I think they are the best metal band out there. The vocals can kinda suck at times, but if you get past that, the music is really enjoyable.

Anyone else heard of them?

Yup, they are pretty damn good... if you want more bands who are similar to them, try Kalmah, Norther and Ensiferum.

All I know is that Alexi Laiho dissed John Petrucci, so I dislike the former.

Actually, he dissed Dream Theater. He said bands which are so technically perfect that they never screw up live are lame.

Unless he said it in a song, who cares? Half of you are probably listening to child molesting, baby-killing, nazi's and you don't even know it. Enjoy the music, and ignore the personal lives of the artist(s)...they're rarely live up to your expectations.

They're Headlining Bloodstock Open Air this year (see you there, britassians :p), and I do believe they will be as enjoyable as when I saw them last year at a similar festival. As for dissing DT? Who really cares- I like both bands for seperate reasons.
