I just bought a sexy new guitar

:D

This beast is pure hot sweaty jungle sex. This guitar was made with shredding in mind. Not only does it look crazy, but the emg pickups give some crazy low end. The neck is the fastest that I've ever played on, even better than the high end jacksons that I've gotten a chance to play on. The strings are set very low, which I can change, but the low action is starting to grow on me. My only gripe is that because of the wood it gets rather heavy at times. The see-through black finish is beautiful. The whole guitar is, which is hard to pull off when it's designed to look sinister at the same time.

I was contemplating replacing the back pickup with an emg-85. That way I could use the neck one for low end and then switch to the back for shredding and solos. How do you guys think that would work out? Or does it just sound like a waste of money?

Name? Model? :P

whoops. LTD (ESP) F - 400. I'm not really sure what the LTD is, a subdivision of esp maybe, but it's on the guitar.

LTD stands for limited. There's the limited models and then the standard models (which are the best of each line)

Looks pretty sweet.

I also bought eight setups for it, so they can mess with the intonation and raise/ lower the action and whatnot.

ESP LTD H-1000. the deluxe series. back when they were still neckthru too :D has a lovely set of seymour duncan Jb/59 (jeff beck on bridge, '59 on neck. they're pretty sweet and loud...). it's also full mahogany. lots of body in the tone.

LTD's are nice, if not a bit expensive, but mine hasn't let me down one bit.

ine has a translucent black finish too, its pretty awesome... don't have the kind of cash to shell out on guitars like them though.

Mine's the secret metal guitar. Most people don't think much of it when they see if as far as tone goes, they expect it to sound vintage. but that seymour duncan has a lot of metal to say. :D though it's all in the mahogany.

Everyone post their guitar!

I wish I had a digital camera. The pic I got from musicians friend isn't all that great.

My banged-up RG450. It's been through some heavy gigging, been thrown around quite a bit. It sounds delicious, and is ****ing comfortable. I absolutely love it. I had it double coil-tapped.

Vinny, nice guitar. Schecter? I really like that. I have WAY too many guitars to take pictures of them all so I'm not going to, but this is the one I want:

It's dark purple or greenish blue depending on where you look at it. Beautiful and amazing.

Those stickers have totally ruined any visual appeal that guitar may have had, Shin.

It never had any. I bought it used, the finish was shiny at one point but it's so full of scratches that it's almost matte. It's got plenty of bumps and bruises, and the stickers kind of hide them. :p

thanks.

one thing though, I really do recommend you try setting up your guitar yourself, and use the 8 setups you have as backup plan in case you screw things up. I set the action and bridge height and intonation myself, and I can say that i understand my fretboard better simply because i took the care of adjusting it myself. subtle things like that make you know your guitar better.

and since it seems everyone and their mom wants a jpm, i think i'm going to look at schecter for a seven string now. unless the sudden jpm craze causes the prices to drop!

I don't have a picture of my guitar by itself online, so this is the best I can do...

ESP LTD M-252. I recently had an accident with it and knocked off one of the machine heads. Currently getting a replacement.
