Ok, well I got my hands on Cakewalk sonar 4 producer, and I've been having problems with playing back recorded audio.

After I record and try to play back, it sounds like a skipping CD. And it seems to play at a slower pace.

My output, is through my Creative soundcard, but it only gives me 3 options (In the cakewalk mixer):

Soundblaster 1/2
Soundblaster 3/4
Soundblaster 5/6

And im not sure what the fractions mean.. so I've come down to the conclusion it might be a soundcard issue, but just looking for any ideas on how to get around this.

Sounds like either a lline-in issue, or a card buffer issue. Try raising the buffer under the ASIO card options...if that doesn't work then it might be your card.

i think the 1/2 3/4 5/6 are the different outputs on the card... i'm assuming it's a multi channel card with 3 analog output jacks

Jim's right about the outputs.

Go into the audio settings, and change the driver mode to ASIO, then drop the latency to 5-10ms.

What SB are you using?
