Thanks to everyone in my other thread who helped me out. I think this turned out ok. :)

This is a complete nonsense song, as you can see here with a simple translation of the lyrics:
Quote:
Hawaiian

Hawaiian
I would've wanted you to be Hawaiian
So that we could climb the palm trees
We'd no longer need the milkman

Hawaiian
I would've wanted you to be Hawaiian
So that you could wear a grass skirt
And so that you could take off your socks

Hawaiian
I would've wanted you to be Hawaian
I would've wanted you to be
I would've wanted you to be
HA! WA! IIAN!

Hawaiian
I would've wanted you to be Hawaiian
So that we could play on the rocks
And so everyday could be summer

What
I would've wanted you to be Japanese
You
But you were a Pomeranian
Really
A friend of julienne fries
Are
And that hurts ME!!!

No...
Only but in part from where you come

Hawaiian
I would've wanted you to be Hawaiian

Great lyrics, huh? :p To think that this song was #1 in Québec for quite a long time...

Damn good, my friend! I'm enjoying this more every time I listen to it. Very well mixed, as well. Professional-like and whatnot.

Thanks. :D This is my first attempt at actually properly mixing a song. I usually just set the levels so that I can hear everything, but this time I tried EQ-ing everything properly so that all the different parts don't fight with each other for precious sonic space. :p

That was awesome. And I like the album title.

Thanks. :D

As for the album title, I couldn't think of anything better-fitting for this song. :p

Love it! :)

My only complaint is that, presuming you're the one singing, you're not forcing the accent enough. When he says "J'aurais voulu que tu soi hawaienne", it sounds more like "J'aurais voulu que tu soye hawaienne".
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Héhé! :D

For the accent, do you mean in the break at 0:56? Because in the rest of the song, he sings "soit" and not "soye."

hmm, ignore me then. Must just be my memory playing tricks on me!

Hahaha!

Tres bien! J'aime bien cette chanson. Je veux retourner à Hawai'i maintenant. :(

(Very good! I liked this song well. I want to return to Hawai'i now :( )
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Articles written towards the DnB scene about EQing your songs, but it's perfectly cross-genre applicable. The inside the box series is great

Thanks for the link, it was a great read. Now all I need is a way to "see" the frequency response of each track. :(
