Mood Swings

Hello everyone

My band, Wunderbar, is currently in the process of mastering our demo cd (Mood Swings), which will be completed very soon. Two preview songs from Mood Swings are downloadable on our website: Wunderbar!, so give them a listen. We would appreciate any feedback.

We play a variety of rock styles, like folk, alternative, progressive, general, acoustic, and even dance music sometimes. So, even if you don't like the two songs on the site there will be plenty more with different styles soon.

Hey Peter reminds me of Hey Jude by The Beatles, and several other things. Circles reminds me of the lyrics of Particle Man by They Might Be Giants, and the opening chord is from About a Girl by Nirvana. Anyways, what is Circles about? I like the circle-like guitar thing. Is this just another band of horny guys trying to pick up chicks?

Aren't they all? :p

Seriously, though, what is it with you, horney guys, and picking up chicks?
Hey, that could be a song, too.

Wild Mood Swings is one of my favorite Cure albums.

I guess a good summary of what 'Circles' is about would be the cliche: you can't judge a book by the cover

Quote:
Circles are okay
For a night and a day
When I’m tired of being a square
Triangles aren’t bad
If you wanna join the fad
When you’re tired of pretending to care

But the shape can’t tell you what’s on the inside
And it’s fake to look for what you know you’ll find

A rhombus can’t be beat
For walking down the street
Angles keep the danger out of sight
Ovals never last
They’re here then gone too fast
They like to leave you freezing in the night

But the shape can’t tell you what’s on the inside
And it’s fake to look for what you know you’ll find

Diamonds sparkle bright
With superficial light
You reach out to find out it's not there
Circles are okay
For a night and a day
And I’m tired of being a square

But the shape can’t tell you what’s on the inside
And it’s fake to look for what you know you’ll find

And even though we may be horny, we don't really try to get chicks. There are only 3 of us, we all play many instruments, and we overdub for our cd songs. So when we play live it is just an acoustic trio, which doesn't really bring forth stampedes of girls.

Any more comments about the music would be appreciated

EEEEEK! Trebly badly intonated guitar much too loud compared to everything else! (Circles). Voice isnt too bad, it just needs practice.

Again, in Hey Peter, you have the mix backwards. Everything trebly should be put further back and everything lower should be brought forward. Try adding some reverb onto the harmonica/vox/everything to smooth it out a bit. Tune the guitars up before each take. Try out different tone settings on the guitar.
