Looking for a program

I'm not sure which forum this should go into, music or this. So I just put it here.
I'm wondering if theres any free programs out there that can tune my guitar through the use of my computer microphone?
Any help would be nice

yes.. there are. i think. There's a website where you can download all kinds of cool music programs. Can't remember where it is though, cause I haven't been there in a while. Let me think on it, and see if I can remember the website address.

(I'm basically just posting to let you know I'm thinking about it, and to keep this thread near the top so I can find it later.)

I don't recommend tuning your guitar through your computer microphone. Those, in my experience, tend to be very noisy things, and that noise will obviously throw off your tuning. Instead, if you want to use a computer program, I recommend getting something that will give you pitches to tune to. This will help your ability to listen to your pitches as you play and tell if something is out of tune.

Instead of using a mic, get a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter, and put it directly into your Line In jack. Way better than using a mic, and is pretty clear. I'ts always worked for me.

Or buy a good tuner, a BOSS or a Korg. Definitely a good investment, and not something you'll replace (unless you break it).
