Albums are more than just tracks.

I was considering my Sonata Arctica collection when it dawned on me that their lastest album, Reckoning Night, is probably their best album but I wouldn't rank any of the songs on it in their top 10.

Obviously most people are aware that albums are more than just a few tracks, they need an order and feel. Reckoning Night pulls this off brilliantly and the album itself is highly memorable, but very few of the individual songs are all that unique.

Here's my top 10 SA songs (in no particular order):
1 - The Misery
2 - My Land
3 - The End of this Chapter
4 - Tallulah
5 - The Power of One
6 - The Cage
7 - Fullmoon
8 - Last Drop Falls
9 - Sing in Silence
10 - Letter to Dana

(didn't quite make it: Replica, Shy, My Selene, Don't Say A Word)

Ain't Your Fairytale is average by SA standards.

To me, lots of thier stuff from their first album is average typical speed power metal. Ain't Your Fairytale would make it since it has the typical SA sound, but it has a very strong chorus.
